What format does the flowchart come out in?
Clean interactive HTML — opens in any browser, embeds in Notion, shares as a file, or prints to PDF. No design software required.
Can I use Charter with Claude Code or other AI systems?
Yes. Charter runs in your AI COO or Claude Code — either works. Some things may vary (output preview, save location), but the operator itself works anywhere you can drop a markdown file.
Can Charter handle complex multi-branch workflows?
Yes. Decision trees, yes/no branches, multi-step approval flows, parallel paths. The more detail you give it, the more precise the chart.
How long does setup take?
10 minutes. Open README.html first — it walks you through the whole install.
How is this different from Whimsical or Miro?
There's no canvas and no dragging. You describe your process — Charter interviews you, restates the brief, and builds after your yes. The result is a single HTML file you own forever: no login, no subscription, nothing to export.
What happens when my process changes?
Ask for the change. Charter states exactly which nodes and arrows will change and touches nothing else. And because your first session saves your preferences — colours, fonts, naming — every revision after that gets faster.
